"Post Code Problem"

A review of Inland Revenue by Anonymous written on Sunday 20th of January 2013

I am abroad and attempting to fill in my Tax Return. When I get to the point of entering my Post Code it is not recognised as it's not a UK code. I've searched the help lines for hours and finally found something that said if you live abroad insert None. I've tried this but it's also not accepted. I've also tried long distance telephoning at a great personal cost especially having to go through all the security questions, then I'm asked to phone a different number and start all over. Sometimes I'm transferred to a different department and the same thing occurs. It would appear that none of the various tax offices scattered throughout the country have any communication with each other. It's a shambles why on earth cannot they be centralised..
