I am pleased to find that walker parish church has survived.iT has served walker parish for as long as i remember. i used to cut through the cemetary to walker rc school everyday. i went to the dances there somewhere at the back of the church.i went to lots of weddings at the church, and christnings, sadly also funerals. It certainly was a monument to walker and a place of worship. i am so pleased it is still there that has made my day. i must visit it and feel all the old memories coming back i feel as if i am walking back in time. I lived in Walker all my life,it was a thriving community, I know it has changed now. But the church still stands and i hope it will be there forever.
