A review of Greggs by Anonymous written on Wednesday 30th of September 2009
I went in to buy cream donuts this morning at approximately 0815hours at chester road Greggs bakeshop. The woman at the counter did not greet good morning! She has this strong look at me without smiling at all. i felt not welcomed. she puts the cream donuts in the box and placed it on the top table not handing in to me, did not even ask if i need a carrier and after i pay her did not even say thank you! i return her a smile and words of thanks but still, she never say thank you. so i pick up the box and place it inside my own carrier bag. and i was shocked that she looks at me and telling me off in unfriendly manner, that i am spoiling the donuts because i put them in my own carrier bag! what? what did i do wrong?? i kept quiet and did not say any word. I was shocked! i just left that bakeshop unhappy with the poor service of the sales woman at the shop. it was a disgrace and awful experience!
I felt discriminated! Don't get me wrong, i like Greggs' hot pies, and donuts.. but it puts me off now because of this experience w/ that woman at that bakeshop who is so unfriendly! i don't deserve to be treated that way. I always buy Greggs food. now, i don't feel coming back to that shop anymore! I rate poor customer service.
i hope this is a learning lesson to us reminding to be sensitive to other people's feelings! most of all, Customers should be treated fairly and with respect!!! .
