My wife { now ex] and i took up fostering and it was a harf thing to get into, mostley from drug related single mothers, only up to age of about 3 yrs, it was sad and an eye opener. our first came up for adoption , we had had other childs while having our first, anyway we decided to go for adoption, a little worried about my age, a little over the age limmit. anyway we were given a date for the court only for it to be cannceled, another date was given about 2 weeks ahead , but wife wasnt having it and managed to get a special sitting by magistrates brought forward, it was a special day for us all. four days later i came home from work only to find my wife had left, traced here thru her using joint bank card, anyway after her living with another guy half way down the country, i like a fool, borrowed a van and took her back, all arranged with her, while her new bloke was at hospital appointment.that was after 10 month away. only for her to do it again staying local tho, she took divorce procedings against me, and at the end of it all she got £40k more from our property than i did, it was an expensive 4 days, only csa chasing me now, money taken out of my sick money, had a stroke, possibley caused by the stress of wots happened, beginning to think 1 stroke wasnt enough, my inlaws are great people , and havent spoke to my ex for over 2 yrs now, now the child has no extended family from ex's side or mine, altho ex has now remarried, i do hope they were police checked, just a little warning , be shure its what u want, its destroyed me, nearly killed me, and i was so proud, anyone that was involved , social workers etc, would be based in,newcastle upon tyne about 5 or 6 yrs ago, am sorry cant remember names.
